Time Flies By

It's Friday already. This week just flew by. Last weekend still feels like a few days ago. Tonight is poker but I'll be sitting out the first game. I've finally done it. I hit level sixty with Ahkillu a few days ago and I'll be running Molten Core tonight with my guild. I'm pretty excited. It'll be my first raid. :)

Not a lot going on around here lately. With me having leveled to sixty I took the past few days off from the game to do some much needed laundry. My side of the bathroom was looking like a Goodwill Donation pile with the dirty laundry almost completely blocking my closet. So I've been catching up on my CSI, Law & Order, and movies the past day or two on my new fifty inch plasma.

After a year or two of hassling, Lana finally gave in and let me loose in Fry's with the credit card. The one thing Lana asked was that I spend the extra fifty dollars to have it delivered. I'm sure she's still having nightmares of us moving our projection TV into the house. It didn't stop me from trying to fit it in the truck though. It didn't fit so I had to have it delivered. I hardly got any sleep on Wednesday night. I kept waking up to check the clock, afraid I'd miss the delivery guys. It was like being eight all over on Christmas Eve.

I should probably be cleaning right now. The office is a mess, I'm still undecided on what to do the bird nest. We left the office window open one night and sometime during the day a bird made a nest right in the sashed up curtain. It probably won't be coming back but it does look pretty neat there. Well, I better go for now. Lots to do today and I'm running out of time. I still need to get Ahkillu ready for the raid. ;)

See ya!

I'm now a VIP shopper at Burk's Outlet. Yup, that's right. I shopped until they were ready to close. I do have an excuse though. Lana and I went to play at some APL poker tournament the other night and I had a lot of time to kill. I figured it would be nice to get out of the house and away from the evil pull of Warcraft. I busted out the first ten minutes of the game. It's a wonderful feeling, busting out first. That's sarcasm in case you missed it. So I decided to shop away my blues while blasting away my eardrums to Slayer, bitching under my breath about my play. The whole while thinking I shoulda just stayed home to level up on Warcraft.

I ended up buying a few pair of shorts I sorta needed, some t-shirts I didn't need, tools I could have done without, and cd's I could have downloaded. I did feel better when I was done though, so that's all that fucking counts. The woman checking me out gave me the most horrified look when she hit the total button. It's like her face said in neon, "You're gonna pay that much for this shit??". I just grinned and shrugged when I handed her my card. It was a good feeling or at least a good distraction.

I've added a new blog to my list in case no one has noticed! It's a pretty funny story really and I'm sure others will find much more amusement in it than I do. I posted a reply to one of her blogs and thought I'd be cute by mentioning I found her on a google search (wink, wink) and asked if I could link to her. Turns out she has Site Meter and knew what search phrase I found her on. I was busted red handed so I did the only thing I could; suck it up and roll with it. I guess it could have been much worse though. I'm just glad I didn't find her site off some of my other searches. ;)

I should probably go to bed. I'm in babble mode I think. I just can't help it though. Lana's playing Zuma, I don't have enough time to do anything on Warcraft, and I'm enjoying the air conditioning in the office. That's right, the office air conditioning is working! We'll be able to play poker tomorrow without sweating our asses off. I think I'll be sitting out tomorrow's game. Here lately I seem to getting more tilted up than is good for me (and everyone around me) and it might be time for a poker break. I haven't reached the throwing cards stage but I am letting these bad beats get to me. I'd like to think that I'm normally not a sore loser but I feel like a punching bag for medium hands lately. I won't bore you with the details but it really sucks busting out when you move in with the best hand time after time. Getting busted just straight up sucks ass but it's even more insulting when you know you had the best starting hand. Anyway, I've rambled enough. Lana's still playing Zuma so I'm going to go waste time doing some more Google searches and check out some racks. 'Night all!

Wow, it's been a while. I sat down today to get my usual fix of Warcraft, logged on, took a long flight from Winterspring to Gadgetzen, then decided to do something I hadn't done in almost a month; I read my email. I didn't scan, I didn't browse, I actually read through my emails. I was was shocked and horrified to realize it had been that long since I sat down and really read through them.

Afterwards, I figured I'd take it one step further and post a blog. I had to log on three times because I couldn't remember my password. I never even blogged about Lana's Convention this year, our near death plan experience, my new found love for 2/4 limit poker, or how our ninth year anniversary went. I've been a pretty horrible blogger these days. I've never been one to do anything in moderation and World of Warcraft is no exception. I'm going to try to be a little more present here ... No promises though. I've still got WoW running the background as I type. :)

It's summer time though, and I love it. I bitch about the heat, the electric bill, I threaten to cut my hair, but damn I love Houston summers. We've had a beautiful spring and I'm looking forward to the scalding summer heat, the heavy summer storms, and the warm evenings spent at the river. I haven't been this excited about summer in a long time. I plan on spending more time outside this summer. Marcel wants to learn how to play baseball. I'm hoping I can get Mike, Chris, and Micah in on it and we can get the kids all playing this summer...

Well, got food waiting on me inside. I'm sure Lana will bitch at me for being late coming in but at least this time it wasn't Warcraft holding me up. ;)

BTW - Buy World of Warcraft. I hang my Helm of Exile at Duratan. Look for Ahkillu the Hunter or Scabbs the Priest. ;)

Resistance is futile.

There we were, in the middle of a dungeon, fighting for our lives and phat loot. Princess Theradras had us on the ropes as we died one by one. As the last of us died, our humble priest delivered one Mind Flay after the other. When she finally fell, Kregaar the Priest was left with four points of life. Gawd bless the Priest...
