We've spent the past week holding her, feeding her, staring at her, and pouring every bit of love we have into caring for her. It's beautiful how something so small can have such a world changing impact on your life. There are no words to describe the feeling I felt when I first held Olivia in my arms. It's a moment of clarity really. When she was placed in my arms everything else in my life just drifted away. Holding her I was again reminded what life is truly about without any distractions. I've never felt so humbled by an experience.
Marcel's now a proud big brother and I can't tell you how good it feels to know that he'll experience that. The love a big brother has for his brother or sister is something very special and just can't be understood unless you've experienced it. I love watching the two of them together. Marcel's so gentle with her and I can see something special in his eyes when he's holding her, looking at her, holding her little hand. I can't tell you how wonderful the past few weeks have been for the four of us. It's four of us now...
So I'm sure you understand why I haven't blogged in a while. I've promised pictures so here's a few of the hundreds we've taken already. I can't express my gratitude enough towards our friends and family who've been there for all of us. I don't know what we would have done without all of you. Thank you.
Hopefully I'll be posting a little more frequently now that we've settled in a little and gotten back on a schedule. Marcel went back to school, Olivia's now a week old, and Marcel turned nine. We've had a lot of changes to our family in the past few weeks. I'm looking forward to more. ;)
I love ya Lana!
